Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  I am interested in fishing, but want to partner with someone who has a boat.  How do I do that?

A:  Send an email to matthewv@tc4hope.org and we will maintain a list of boaters looking for partners.

  

Q:  I have a boat and would like to fish, but need a partner.  How do I find a partner?

A:  Ask at your church.  Consider youthful anglers from the neighborhood, scouts, and relatives.  Or, send an email to matthewv@tc4hope.org and we will try to pair you up with anglers wanting to find a partner with a boat.

  

Q:  Can I weigh in early?

A:  Yes, scales will open at noon.  You can weigh in anytime between noon and the end of your stagger finish time. 

 
Q:  Do I have to weigh early?

A:  No:  You may continue fishing throughout the day until your stagger finish time.  However there is no upgrading: North Dakota law requires you to keep any fish you have placed in your livewell. 

  

Q:  Where is the money going?

A:  All of the sponsorship dollars raised goes to North Dakota Teen Challenge.  The $200 entry fee will be paid in the following manner:  75% of all entry fees will be returned in the form of cash prizes; 10% (up to a maximum of $5,000) will be designated for conservation efforts; The remaining 15% will go to North Dakota Teen Challenge.

  

Q:  Can my kids fish?

A:  Yes, all ages are encouraged to participate.  If there are 3 youngsters under age 16, a non-fishing adult must also be present. The adult must also sign the entry form.  

  

Q:  How do I collect my prizes?

A:  Every prize winner must be present at the awards ceremony following weigh in.
